WHAT DOES CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED MEAN?

A unit that is Pound4Pound Certified must meet a rigorous testing and inspection process in order to be Certified.  A unit that is certified has the upper electronic and lower electronic boards are inspected to ensure all systems are working properly.  The drive motor is inspected to ensure the bearings are in good shape, to make sure it is running at proper amperage, and to make sure it properly communicates with the electronic boards.

The incline motor is inspected to ensure it inclines, declines and communicates properly with the electronic boards.  The rollers are scraped of any wax build up.  Any areas that require lubrication are lubricated.  The deck, walking belt and drive belt are checked to ensure there isn’t severe wear.  If there is significant wear on the deck, walking belt or drive belt the unit is automatically released to our refurbishing team for wear part replacement.

Certified Pre-Owned may have cosmetic wear and tear.  We put it through a thorough cleaning process, but scratches, minor rubbing or small cracks in inconspicuous areas on the plastic shrouds may or may not be present.

WHAT DOES RECONDITIONED OR REFURBISHED MEAN?

A unit that is Pound4Pound Reconditioned meets all of the standards associated with the Certified Pound4Pound unit.  The upper electronic and lower electronic boards are inspected to ensure all systems are communicating and working properly.

All reconditioned units will automatically include a new deck, new walking belt, new drive motor belt.

All plastic shrouds are inspected for any size crack and replaced if a crack is spotted.  Reconditioned units may have some normal expected wear and tear on the frame, but will be minimal and touch up paint will be used on areas that need it.

WHAT DOES RE-MANUFACTURED MEAN?

A unit that is Pound4Pound Re-manufactured meets all the standards associated with the Reconditioned Pound4Pound unit, but in addition to the new deck, new walking belt, new drive motor belt we will also replace the bearings in the rollers and the bearings in the motors.

Any drive input assemblies, batteries or alternators will be replaced.  All plastic shrouds are replaced or painted.

The unit is completely stripped down to the frame, which is sent out for powder coating, and all items on the unit are cleaned or replaced.
